Left Coast Live’s Outdoor Screening of B4MD

Monday, April 27th, 2009

Thursday, May 14, 7 p.m. at the Circle of Palms in downtown San Jose
Free showing of the movie “Before the Music Dies”, with introductory shorts by winners of the Alice 97.3 Three Minute Film Festival.

“Before the Music Dies” tells the story of American music at this precarious moment. Filmmakers Andrew Shapter and Joel Rasmussen traveled the country, hoping to understand why mainstream music seems so packaged and repetitive and whether corporations really had the power to silence musical innovation.  The answers they found on this journey – ultimately, the promise that the future holds – are what make this film both riveting and exhilarating.
